Meet the artist - M. Morotti

Margherita Morotti is an illustrator from Emilia. After classical studies she moved to Milan, where she still lives and works, to attend the course of Multimedia Illustration and Animation at the IED; afterwards she attended the courses of live portraiture at the Castello Sforzesco, and the semester of Editorial Illustration at Mimaster.
Her work has a strong analogical component, ranging between different techniques, with a constant search for shapes and colours and a particular attention to the gestures of bodies.
From 2010 to 2016 she was one of the editors of Lucha Libre, a palindromic magazine of illustration and critical fiction.
Among her clients are, Variety, Acqua Di Parma, Feltrinelli Comics, Martini, The Atlantic, The New Republic, Linus, Il Tascabile Treccani.

Elevating artists

We believe that art can make every situation in life a little better. That’s why we decided to collaborate with the artist community and ask them to decorate our protective barriers. For each barrier the artist will receive a 7% royalty, which we believe will help them a little in this very difficult period.

Sustainable production

For every protective barrier sold, Matrika will plant enough trees to absorb 167kg of CO2, which is equal to almost double the amount of CO2 produced to manufacture and ship one barrier. The partner will be Treedom

Our art partner - PALOMA

PALOMA is a design studio that works with illustrators and artists. Our collaborations are translated into works of art, which take the form of tiles, wallpapers, fabrics or other functional objects. Through our projects we promote an approach of constant hybridization, beyond the boundaries of contemporary artistic fruition. The work of art is not limited by its frame but becomes an integral part of the history of the place that hosts it.
